Vodka

Vodka is a pure, neutral spirit distilled from fermented grains or potatoes.

Often filtered through activated charcoal that removes any residual impurities and smells.

The difference between various vodkas depends on the types of grains being used and the distilling and filtering processes.

Vodka originates from Russia and Poland.

Served on its own or used in mixers with fruit juice, tonic water, or tomato juice.

Also, vodka is one of the preferred spirits in the home-making of flavoured schnapps, herbal bitters and liqueurs - also known as cordials.
